Long Time

I haven't posted super-recently, but I've been busy on a whole myriad of projects, some that I won't talk about yet, some that I hope to be posting some art from soon!

I was in a REALLY sketchy mood tonight, so here's something tonight before I can post the art dump tomorrow....

Bluebeard

Our final illustration is pretty open, so I'm just doing a "cover" image for the fairytale Bluebeard. I really liked this sketch, so I did a quick color study with it.

Anyhow, today was one of the first figure classes I actually enjoyed what I was drawing. I've never liked charcoal, to be honest, so getting the opportunity to draw with ink in class today was really great.

My bf and I have been watching all those really cool speedpainting vids lately (namely idrawgirls), and I really haven't "painted" anything recently, so I did a sketch of a character I've wanted to work on a bit.

Line-up

Here's all three! Left to right: Athena, Hera, Aphrodite. Here's a rough for the comic, too!

(It's a one-page modern interpretation of the Golden Apple myth: Paris of Troy on a dating site choosing his favorite of the three Goddesses)

Master-copy in process! It's John Singer Sargent's "Madam X", but done digitally (wacom and photoshop). Spent a little less than an hour on it so far, planning on many more. :'D

Sorry for the bad scan/sketchiness; they came out of my teeny sketchbook. We're supposed to fill up 20 pages over our break...which would be easier, except I keep drawing on random sheets of paper and then losing them. :/
